Why Inside Farming exists
Most people in Britain have no idea how farming works. Not because they're not curious — but because nobody has made it easy to understand. Agricultural coverage is either trade press aimed at farmers, or sensationalised media that reduces complex issues to headlines.
Inside Farming was built to fill that gap. We believe that when people understand farming — really understand it, not just the romantic version — they make better choices as consumers, better decisions as voters, and develop a genuine connection with the countryside.
What we stand for
- Plain English always. No jargon, no assumptions, no industry shorthand.
- Honest complexity. Farming is complicated. We don't pretend otherwise.
- Farmer voices. We platform the people doing the work, not just the people commenting on it.
- Access for everyone. Everything on Inside Farming is free.
Who we are
Inside Farming is an independent platform built by people who believe the public deserves better information about where their food comes from. We are not funded by the agriculture industry, supermarkets, or government bodies. Our independence is fundamental to what we do.
We are always looking for farmers, agronomists, vets, researchers, and rural professionals who want to contribute. If that's you — get in touch.
